Social media management includes planning and publishing profile content and audience communication within an agreed scope. It differs from paid advertising, website SEO and visibility in AI answers. Choosing work that solves your problem matters more than buying the package with the most activities.
I believe channel selection starts with where buyers look for a solution and what they need to choose your offer. Sometimes that is profile content. Sometimes it is a missing service page, unclear offer, poorly configured campaign or mobile form failure.
Sygnific does not provide profile management, social posting or community management. We focus on SEO/GEO/AEO, paid advertising, website content and conversion optimisation. This article helps you assess your needs and where our services can help.
Social media management or a better customer journey?
If buyers ask profile questions that nobody answers, you need a responsible internal team or communications partner. If people cannot find a specific service, ten more posts may not be the first task. I would check organic visibility, website content and advertising options.
If visits already arrive but few generate relevant enquiries, I open the landing page. Does its headline match the ad or post? Is suitability clear? Is there evidence and a clear explanation of what happens after contact? Conversion rate optimisation — CRO may fit better than more posts.
Start with three records: current qualified-contact sources, common pre-engagement questions and where interest stops becoming enquiries. Without data, these are hypotheses to test, not reasons to choose the most popular channel.
What do different channels do?
On smaller screens, scroll the table horizontally.
| Need | Work to consider | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Regular posts and profile communication | Internal team or social media partner | Communication quality and the profile's sales role |
| Being found in organic search | SEO and website content | Relevant queries, pages and contact quality |
| Clear representation in AI answers | GEO/AEO | Mentions, sources and description accuracy |
| Paid visits from a relevant audience | Google Ads or Meta advertising | Cost and quality of business outcomes |
| More useful enquiries from existing visits | CRO | Offer understanding, working forms and conversions |
Activities can complement each other. Each needs an owner, deliverables and a result definition. Do not assume profile-management fees include ad spend, website analysis or expert guides.
When would I prioritise SEO and GEO/AEO?
When clients research problems, compare suppliers or seek process explanations, the website should answer. A service page should explain scope, suitability, collaboration and next steps. A guide should enable a decision.
SEO makes those foundations accessible and relevant to organic search. GEO/AEO also concerns how AI finds, understands and presents company information. Appearance cannot be guaranteed, so track source access, observed answers and business enquiries separately.
For diagnosis, see how I conduct a website SEO analysis. For AI, read ChatGPT optimisation. This concerns your website, offer and sources, rather than monthly Instagram or LinkedIn administration.
Meta advertising is not social media management
A paid campaign has a goal, audience, budget, creative, destination and measurement. Profile management involves regular posts and communication. They can connect, but one scope does not automatically include the other.
Sygnific can handle Google Ads and Meta advertising. We clarify creative, landing-page changes and enquiry handling upfront. If campaigns bring messages, your team's response process is agreed; this does not transfer daily profile management to us.
Google search may suit existing demand; Meta can introduce an offer to selected audiences. Choice depends on the offer and testing. The Google Ads: from click to client guide explains enquiry quality and acquisition cost.
When is the website the problem?
Imagine posts and ads successfully bring people to a homepage containing generic messages but no clear service suitability or engagement process. More posts may increase visits while the obstacle remains. This is illustrative, not a client's results.
First connect the ad or content to the right page. Then improve headline, scope, evidence and CTA. Test buttons, forms and submission confirmation on mobile. Assess effects only after reliable records exist.
See why websites fail to turn visits into enquiries and how to organise a landing page. Good sales content helps people assess the offer and take a useful next step.
Where should the next budget go?
Separate attention, visits, contacts and won business. A video view is not a qualified enquiry; a contact is not automatically a customer. Unknown sources stay unknown rather than being credited to the channel I want to justify.
- Define the offer to develop and a qualified-enquiry criterion.
- Check where relevant people currently seek solutions.
- Follow the path from that source to the page and contact.
- Choose one important obstacle or hypothesis for the first cycle.
- Record the change and assess marketing and sales outcomes.
I would not decide only by followers or the lowest cost per click. Audience relevance, enquiry-handling capacity and business economics matter more. See measuring whether marketing brings customers.
Where can Sygnific help?
If you want the company found and understood in Google and AI answers, advertising to attract the right audience or a website to turn interest into enquiries, that is a conversation for us. Send your domain, priority service and observed obstacle. We first define useful scope.
If you only seek regular profile publishing and comment responses, you need another service. Our focus remains SEO/GEO/AEO, paid campaigns and CRO.
